Cloaks

Cloaks are devices to reduce the Visibility of a ship. High level cloaks often take a lot of space in a ship but they decrease visibility significantly more than smaller cloaks do. Cloaks use energy when they are active (toggled with the 'k' key), when a cloak is active on a ship (player or AI), their ship will go transparent and waves of blue will cover the ship's hull. To use higher tech cloaks, you'll require Cloaking.

Mods from the cloak will not be active unless you are cloaked.
