Radars allow your ship to see other ships, space stations, and other objects.
- TL is the Tech Level in the Radar skill needed for the radar.
- Vision is the base range that you will be able to see a target on your main screen. The actual range that you see the target is also dependent on its Visibility. Targets that are seen via vision also act as if they're seen via detection (so they will also be visible on your radar and be targetable).
- Detect is the base range that you will be able to see a target on your small radar screen. The actual range that you see the target on your radar is also dependent on its Reflectivity. This range also determines when something becomes targetable.
- Elec is the amount of energy used per unit of time when the radar is equipped.
- Vis is the Visibility added to your ship when the radar is equipped.
When you use a passive radar (such as by pressing it on your hotbar), you get a radar tweak for Ping Time seconds. You also gain the Ping Vis while this radar tweak is active. Note that this radar tweak only affects your detection, which means things will become more visible on your radar but NOT on your main screen (this is the same behavior as other radar tweaks/auras).
