Remote Control (abbreviated RC) is a skill that lets you use slaves and capture ships of a tech level up to your Remote Control level. For example, if you have Remote Control 5 you may only use tech 5 or less ships.

The Remote Control skill also determines the maximum number of slaves you can have at any given time. Each RC level gives you 1 slave slot. Each slave takes up a number of slots equal to its tech level divided by 2, rounding up. For example, a tech 5 Hot Rod slave would take up 3 slave slots. Tech 0 ships take up 1 slot each.

Combat slots and Trading slots are seperate, so you have two sets of slots, each equal to the amount of RC you have. So if you had RC 4, for example, you could have 2 Tech 4 ships equipped with Combat Controlbots for fighting alongside you, as well as 4 Tech 2 ships equipped with regular controlbots for trading.

When activating a slave a note in events gives you an update as to how many slots you have left.

NOTE! The number of slots for combat slaves has been modified for tech 0-2. The number of slots you have now equals half of your level in RC. EX: At RC10 you can only have 5 combat slaves of tech 0-2 [July, 2009]

It costs 3 skill points per lvl.
