In Star Sonata Station Management allows you to place space stations of a given tech level.

Skill
The cost of Skill points in this category varies depending on how leveled you are in it. Its starts out as 1 skill point for tech 1. 2 Skill points for tech 2. And so on.
Station Slots
You have a number of station slots equal to twice your level in this skill plus twice your level in Station Research. Each space station takes a number of station slots according to its tech level as follows:

For example, a player with Station Management 16 and Station Research 2 would have 2*16 + 2*2 = 36 station slots. He could place 9 Adonis bases (4*9 = 36), or 6 Ambrosia bases (6*6 = 36) or 4 Andaman bases and 2 Adonis bases at the same time (4*7 + 2*4 = 36).
