Engineer's utilize drones to support a squad either through drone's that heal, provide passive bonus's, or supplement the overall damage output of the squad by also utilizing drone's that attack target's. Engineer is considered to be one of the most well rounded classes as it can do almost anything while supporting itself. This does not mean it is "the best class" in Star Sonata but just that it is a friendly class to play for first time players. Engineer is considered a mandatory class to bring on squad based content as their ability to heal multiple squadmate's at the same time is necessary to keep a squad alive on a run.

Most builds you will have too choose between healing and doing damage, though duel builds are possible. Tractoring is critical to engineer, as with most drones being stationary, enemies must be brought to you. Engineer is considered a mandatory class to bring on squad based content as their ability to heal multiple squadmate's at the same time is necessary to keep a squad alive on a run.

Zen of Support Freighters: Specializing in support freighters. 2% Capacity in Support Freighter, 0.50% Capacity in Heavy Fighters, 0.50% Capacity in Capital Ship, -1% Weight in Support Freighter.

Zen of Engineer: Mastering Enginer. 0.10% Shield Max, 0.10% Energy Max, 0.10% Speed, 0.10% Turning, 0.10% Damage, 0.10% Shield Recovery 0.10% Energy Charge, 0.10% Thrust, 0.10% Tracking, 0.10% Docking Speed, 0.10% Rate of Fire, 0.10% Radar, 0.10% Range, -0.10% Electric Tempering
