Gunner is the skill where 'You bring the big punch for the big targets.' The Gunner class gives +5% Multifiring, +5% Weapon hold. These stats are also amplified by 3 tertiary skills availible only to Gunner Class via the Ordinance Testing Grounds in Lyceum:

  • Big Guns: 'The Gunner has some big guns - and they are not called 'left' and 'right',' Capital Ships +3% Mining damage, Others + 1% mining damage
  • Destruction: 'The Gunner can hit the target so hard that further damage is even more severe.' Target gets + 0.5% Vulnerability to damage type on impact, or 1% Vulnerability if Multi-firing
  • Missile Mastery: 'Sometimes death comes in more mobile packages.' +5% to many basic missile stats

The Prerequisite for this skill is Fleet Focus, and your level of Gunner Class cannot be trained any higher than your level in Fleet Focus, just as your level in any of the tertiary skills cannot exceed your level in the Gunner Class.

Gunners are generally seen as the debuff buddies while in a Fleet. Their ability to indirectly increase the damage of all squad-mates dramatically affects the capabilities of said squad.
