The Empyreal Perihelion is the speed-oriented upgrade for the Empyreal Equinox. However, both the Empyreal Perihelion and Empyreal Aphelion are quite compelling for both Seers and Speed Demons alike.
The Onslaught Prioritization is a projectile velocity & RoF-increasing skillshot. Upon activation, it slows the user down to a crawl with forced thrust, but massively increases their projectile velocity. Shortly afterwards, a fast, but zero-tracking projectile is fired directly out of the ship -- if this projectile hits its target, it provides a RoF bonus to enemies of the target, with a higher bonus applied to enemies closer to the target. This super is useful for landing killing blows with projectile weapons, or to coordinate burst damage with a damage tweak & allies close to a target.
The Interception Order is a Warp Device. It sends the user 1000 distance forward, and applies an effect that sharply cuts resists, increases thrust, and increases RoF for one second. This super is useful for general mobility, and can be used in tandem with a regular warp device, but the resist reduction makes it quite risky to use in dangerous situations.
In addition to being a player ship, AI versions of Perihelions can be found in the Empyrean zone, often seen coordinating with Empyreal Equinox squadrons to ambush unsuspecting players with high-speed heat pulses. They can prove to be difficult to destroy without beams or similarly high-speed magcannon-type weapons.
