The Hawk is a level ~3100 roaming and DG AI that can be extremely dangerous for unprepared players. The next level in the Vulture and Condor family, Hawks roam Perilous Space at very high speeds, can hit like a ton of bricks with its physical projectile weapons, and has extremely high shield regeneration to shrug off what would usually be sufficient damage. With their high speed and shield regen combined, it can prove difficult to land a hit or two on it as it circles its opponent(s), from which the Hawk can recover from in a matter of seconds.
Despite the Hawk's high mobility, damage and shield regen, they have a massive weakness - their shield banks are relatively small compared to other AI of its level, so with enough burst firepower, one may be able to break through its rapid shield regen. Snipers are known to be able to kill Hawks easily by firing a wave of Zebra Hooves Torpedoes at them, whereas other classes with sustained damage such as Fleet Commanders may find this AI harder to kill.
Ocassionally, Hawks may drop Hawk Remains or a Hawk Blueprint on death. The first player to kill enough of these monsters to build this fearsome ship was Destroyer Of Worlds.
The blueprint produces an upgrade for a Vulture.
