The Trepidation Frigate is a Tech 20 Capital Ship which can be obtained from a blueprint dropped by Drake. Reminiscent of Earthforce capship designs, it shares the same inbuilt Capital Engine of its cousins, but with some offensive modifications that stray away from galactic peacekeeping sensibilities.
It features a Spice Protection superitem that can boost survivability, and dampens the mining damage vulnerability found on standard Earthforce capships. When not used as a conventional hull class choice for Gunners and Fleet Commanders, it also serves a niche use as a 'blocker' type bot for Berserkers and Engineers.
The Trepidation Frigate also has an alternate form, the Trepidation Turret, in which it immobilizes itself for a slight boost in inbuilt damage stats and an additional Fire Primary Cannon superitem. Although bots cannot enter this turret form on their own, they can be made to engage (and later disengage) it by remote, manual activation in their inventories by their owner.
The blueprint produces a ship upgrade that can be applied to an Earthforce Frigate.
The Trepidation Frigate can also receive an Anise Upgrade.
