Hull Expanders

Hull Expanders increase the amount of Hull space on a Ship, at a cost of extra weight. Only one hull expander can be equipped on a ship at a time. Now, most hull expanders are restricted to one ship type (Freighter, Light Fighters, Heavy Fighters) as listed below. Hull Expanders will not take up any space (specified by the Size stat) once equipped.
