Nap's Tests (Jan 20, 2015 - ???)

Tests are being done by equipping panels after arriving on the target distance from the sun. While traveling between points panels are unequipped.

Solar Panel

Tech: 0 Size: 3 Weight: 8000 Number of panels: 17
Sun Class Sun physical sprite size on the furthest out zoom Zone 1 Zone 2 Zone 3 Zone 4 zone 5
Sun (L Class) (Galaxy: Undosia) 1.5cm Distance from sun 0 - 1695 1696 - 3306 3307 - 4917 4918 - 6528 6529 - Max Test Distance (20500)
Energy recharge rate 34 25 17 8 0

Starting with solar panels unequipped and then equipping them, traveling away from the sun starting at distance 0 going a speed of 49 the energy recharge is 34 until a distance of about 1700, it then changes to -9. Traveling back toward the sun energy recharge changes to +9 at about 1500.

This effect is replicated at 3300 distance if the solar panels where equipped in the 1696 - 3306 zone.

Conclusion: If a ship is moving with solar panels equipped at the barrier where a drop is in recharge power instead of the recharge dropping 1 'zone' it will drop to the negative of 4th zones recharge power.
