Warp Devices instantly warp you, up to their maximum distance, usually forward, as long as no celestial body is in the way. Most warp you in the direction you are facing. The Seer Rift Generator will warp you to the back of your target, while the Singularity Brake will warp you near to your selected target. If a warp device fails, it will warp you in a random direction instead of your desired direction.

Transwarp Devices
Transwarp devices are devices that warp players and their slaves to a galaxy which has a Warp Beacon, how far the transwarp device will take you depends on which device you have. These devices require about 75% shields before initiating and must be a certain distance away from nearby celestial objects (asteroids, planets/moons and suns). The jump will take away half of your shields so be careful where you go!
Fleet Commander transwarp devices will take several seconds to bring you to your destination, in the meantime, allies can move into the green ring projected around your ship, and get brought to your destination with you. This can be useful for some who may not have transwarps yet or can't reach any nearby beacons, or to transwarp your whole squad to a small warp beacon.
There are two skills available at Beta Antares for transwarp devices. Advanced Transwarp Navigation will increase your maximum jump range (to a maximum of 25 extra jumps) and Transwarp Turbocharging will increase your transwarp device's charging rate (up to twice as fast, resulting in it being only 5 minutes to recharge).
They are all 5,000 weight, and take 10 minutes to charge up.
