Cleft Thorns are the hot-blooded level 240 or so residents of eastern warp-2. They come in teams of four, and battles with them can lead to disastrous results if surrounded. Not only do these AI hunt in groups, grasping their prey with their tractor beams, but they can dish out large amounts of lethal heat damage with a hell fire and great immolation. With a fiery temperament, these ships are not to be trifled with.
