"It seems someone has finally opened the gateway to the galaxies of the universe's mortal enemy, the Zebra Armada!
Those who opened the path have no idea of what they have done, none at all."
Xenocrates 3000 starts pacing about the room frantically.
"This does not bode well for any of the inhabitants of the entire universe!" Xenocrates 3000 stops and looks in your direction,
obviously sensing your puzzlement. "You do not know of the Zebra Armada?! I suppose you would not,
they were sealed away long ago, and much of what we knew about them was lost.
Perhaps I should enlighten you and explain the dangerous ramifications of opening the gate,
ones that could lead to the destruction of all other civilized life in the universe!"
Xenocrates 3000 begins pacing again, this time even faster.
"Before I tell you this, I want to make sure you understand the harsh reality of the situation ...
and now that I think of it, this is the perfect oppertunity to have a Field Researcher collect data on the Zebra Armada.
The information in our databanks is quite dated. We will need new strategies to combat this dastardly foe!"
Xenocrates 3000 quickly walks over to you, grabs your shoulders and looks you in the eyes.
"Simon, you must enter the Zebra territories, the universe is in desperate need!"

"Judging from the energy burns and blast marks, I can see you finally met the Zebra Armada...
the Zaphragi are a very fearsome race indeed, are they not?
Now I am sure you understand why we had to lock them away so long ago... If only the portal to their realm had not been opened!"
Xenocrates 3000 walks over to a computer console in the room. "While you were engaging the Zebra Armada,
I contacted the Paxians, Earthforce, and even the Merchant's Guild to make them aware of the situation.
Obviously we have a threat that is even greater than that of the murderous UrQa.
They have been mainly dormant in recent years, but I assure you, the Zebra Armada will not... "
He calls you over to the computer console and begins searching the Lyceum data-archive.
"Kilrathi ... Shofixti ... Ah! Here we go, the Zaphragi.
As you can see the data we have collected on them is extremely dated and extremely limited, by our standards at least.
After their last invasion it was of paramount importance that we contain them, so there was very little time for research.
You see, the Zaphragi are a humanoid marsupial race with a very low maturation time, and a strong desire to mate.
Due to this fact, they are in a perpetual state of population expansion.
They use up the resources of a planet in excess of fifty times that of a normal humanoid species!
Eventually during the youth of their race, they used up most of the resources on their homeworld,
they could no longer support their population. They began to slowly die of starvation, disease and overcrowding.
It was then a strong military goverment took control and began the reckless Zaphragi expansionism!
Before long, all the worlds that had contact with the Zaphragi were conqured and colonized, their native populations massacred!
It took only a few years before they had settled on every habital planet in their sector.
Even with this newfound territory, the Zebra Armada realized that they needed even more planets to sustain their population
which was already in the hundreds of billions, it was then they found the wormhole that lead to our sector of space.
You can only imagine the war that ensued,
and the eventual Zaphragi defeat which lead to them being imprisioned in their own sector of space!
We must defeat them again, or they will attempt to conquer us all!
I will offer what help I may, and I have received word that Earthforce and Paxius will help as well.
The Zebra Armada and the Zaphragi must and will be stopped!"

"Suprised to see an Earthforce Sky Marshal here, aren't you Simon?
This threat is an urgent matter and we have brough all the information in the Earthforce Databanks regarding the Zaphragi.
Hell, we even raised the Earthforce security level to Fire Truck Red!
You see, Earthforce played a key role in the first Zaphragi War,
we held the Zebra Armada at bay while Lyceum finally found a way to finish them and lock them in their own region of space.
It really burns me that we couldn't detain the Cult of Mastadonte before they found a way to open that gate.
So much is at stake, so it's good we have a guy like you working on taking down the Zebra Armada."
Sky Marshal Phelps gives you a hearty slap on the back.
"Anyway, according to the Earthforce Databank, the Zebra heavy fighter is a fairly fast and heavily armored ship.
They can strike fearsome physical attacks from both short and long range, and in general should not be taken lightly.
It also says here that even being in the presence of the Zaphragi Prince
grants a very strong defensive boost to his personal guards.
It would be wise to be careful if you are going in to take him down, and we really could use a victory in this new confrontation.
Taking down the Zaphragi Prince should disrupt the entire Zebra Armada long enough for us to send in more recon teams.

"We Paxians are rather new to this universe, so the knowlege we possess on the Zebra Armada is very limited.
In fact, we had yet to travel here when the first struggle against the Zaphragi took place.
We have however dedicated time to exploring their sectors, and learning all we can about this fearsome warrior race.
Marco Colombus has been able to reach the Lake Manyara, deep in the Zaphragi sector,
and we will share the data he has collected on the Zaphragi Rhino. 
It seems that this is a combat freighter, very similar to what we use in our travels, and a very capable one indeed.
Ah yes! Marco also was able to obtain information on the High Vizar of the Zaphragi, nar Qarg!"
Govanon thumbs a button on his holopad. "It appears that he will be a very difficult foe at close range,
and he travels with a very large complement of guards.
Perhaps if you could seperate him from his guards and attack him at long range, you could overcome him.
Simon, we have fought the UrQa for eons in many different dimensions, and even they have never posed a threat this great.
I can only hope we can fell their invasion fleet before it is too late."

It would seem this blow has also had a crippling effect for the Zebra Armada as well.
The High Vizir was in command of all shipping and supply convoys, and without his leadership,
many of his subcommanders are now unable to execute the complex administration involved with this task.
Hopefully this will spell the beginning of the end for their invasion,
we can only hope that these malignant beings are stopped before they have the chance to destroy all that has been created here."

"Good you see you again Simon." says Sky Marshal Phelps.
"The attacks you have led against the Zebra Armada has crippled most of their fleet,
and with their defenses down we can finally work on planning a strike on their Emperor!
I'm getting a bit ahead of myself, there is still another vital
Zaphragi Fleet commanded by the Lion King, Khan Kilrathi.
If we are going to make any attempt at toppling their Emperor,
we must disable the Lion Fleet first!
King Kilrathi is found in the Searing Rift a very dangerous region in the Zaphragi sectors.
This area contains some extremely volatile and dangerous spacial rifts and our
intel tells us that unless you stay in the shadow of the Red Giant there,
the gravitational flux of these instabilites will tear your ship apart!
To make matters worse, I found a note in the databanks concerning a special
ability that the Lion King uses in the Zaphragi War!
Aparentally he has the ability to project decoy copies of himself!
This is going to be a tough fight Simon, but we need to take the Lion King down.

I really wonder how the Cult of the Mastodonte managed to weaken him enough that they could open that gateway..

"The final battle is before you Simon", says Xenocrates 3000. "It is on the Emperor's Peak that you must behead the Zaphragi,
only then will they lose the will to continue their attacks into our space."
Sky Marshall Phelps cuts in. "Simon's Second Sight, Earthforce recon has located the Zaphragi Emperor,
but scouts are unable to reach him. That means there is very little we can tell you about him currently.
Even after searching the Lyceum data-archives and the Earthforce databanks,
I'm afraid we can't offer any details on him. 
It appears that during the first Zaphragi war we never encountered an Imperial Capital Ship.
Govonan, what about your Paxian scouts?" Govanon replies. "Even with our advanced scanning technologies,
we have been unable to learn anything of intrest.
Most of our scans are reflected from the area that the Emperor was rumored to reside."
Sky Marshal Phelps begins again. "Simon's Second Sight, we hate to send you in blind,
but we can't let the Zaphragi regroup, this attack must come now. Good Luck"
