Spam

Spam, also called Stupid Pointless Annoying Messages by some, are messages that disrupt the normal flow of a chat system. Such messages can be intruding into a discussion, using chat channels improperly, or sending messages repeatedly.

Spam is countered by a person of Moderator status that may be online, who can mute the player on a range of 5 to 120 minutes. During this time, the player is prevented from speaking in the normal channels of All, Trade, and Galaxy. Constant spam can also result in receiving a "permanent" mute that will last until it is decided the player has been punished long enough or being banned by a designated Admin.
