"So," says Professor Logan as you exit your ship. "I see you noticed the undead rats...", pointing to the decaying rat dung spotting it. "Yes, there is a rather odd story behind those.. you see, working with the paranormal and supernatural, I eventually thought I would try to tackle reanimation. Well, my pet space Rat, Fluffums died. Being out here alone, I missed the presence of my companion quite a bit, so I set to work. I managed to bring Fluffums back but something had gone horribly wrong. Horribly, horribly wrong. I booted Fluffums out the airlock, but she managed to survive and well, before long she had infected the nearby Space Rats and this mess started. Perhaps I could search for a way to undo the damage... but why would I want to do that?" Professor Logan thinks for a minute. "AH-HA! I know, bring me samples of these undead space rats and I might be able to further refine my reanimation process. Just imagine the plague I could unleash on all mankind and whatnot... or maybe even get my Fluffums back!"

You are nearly sickened by the smell permeating the docking bay where you unload what Professor Logan wanted, and even more sickened by the delight he gets by it. After a maddening laugh he comes over. "Wonderful, Simon, this is absolutely wonderful! Don't you see the festering and oozing welts... OOOH! And look at this, a tail! Hmm? Ah yes, your reward, one minute." Professor Logan leaves for a moment and returns with your reward. "Here you go, and you will never know how useful this will be!"

I'll be right back" A short while later, Professor Logan returns with a new energybank for you and despite the awful smell, you accept it.

"Ah, hello Simon! Running from the flesh eating monsters outside again? As expected I guess. As you know, often times the rest of the scientific community leaves me out... well, they shun me like I smelled of rotting flesh. Eureka! That must be the reason! Regardless, I have a favor to ask of you! The other members of the scientific community constantly say my research has no purpose and there is no credence to back my findings, so I think it's time to prove myself to them!
