Aveksaka

The Aveksaka are a race as old as the universe itself. Born in the crucible of the big bang, inhabiting another layer of space itself, the Aveksaka mindlessly roamed their dimension feeding on what little mineral and organic matter they encountered. Over eons of evolution they gained sentience and developed a rudimentary interstellar society dominated by the belief this dimension is their sanctuary and it is their responsibility to protect it.

Subspace, the dimension inhabited by the Aveksaka, is increasingly becoming a chaotic place. No longer is it the barren expanse it was. Recently opened subspace anomalies scattered around the dimension have brought entire solar systems into Subspace, sundering countless planets in the process. Fields of debris, both planetary, alien and manufactured, have been created as these celestial bodies have been ripped apart. Gases from destroyed giant planets have coalesced into murky nebulae.
