Augmenter Tweaking

Each level of Augmenter Tweaking (abbreviated Aug Tweak or AT) up to level 25 gives a 4% increase to all augmenter stats, totaling to a 100% increase to all augmenter stats at level 25. You can get up to level 2 by completing the missions at a AI controlled space station in The Nexus called the Cadet Academy. Levels beyond 2 are obtained by completing missions The Acropolis.

For example, a ship with one augmenter equipped to grant +56% to some statistic would receive the following bonus, as a function of the player's level of Augmenter Tweaking, labeled AT.

Similarly, if the equipped augmenter granted -56% instead, the resulting penalty is calculated as follows.

AT is considered one of the most rewarding skills. Because of the way augmenters' stats compound, AT can have a profound effect on the resulting modification of your ship's basic stats. This has caused it to be an important balance issue, and it has been made easier to get the higher levels of AT than the previous way.
