Hull space

Every ship and base has hull space.

Every object you carry takes up a particular amount of that hull space. Many ships have very little hull space so making all of your gear fit can be a challenge. Hull Expanders are a quick and cheap way to add a little extra to your ship at the trade-off of extra weight. Bases can have one ship hull expander and unlimited base expansion units equipped simultaneously (although limited by number of workers) and can achieve a truly impressive amount of hull space. Some high-tech production bases have been known to have more than 2 million units to store equipped items, commodities, workers, rations, construction materials and anything else needed for a well-maintained base. Hull can also be increased by Capacity Augmenters, and some Aura Generators. The mod Transcendental on some gear also increases hull space at the cost of a tiny bit of electricity. There are also new Scoops called holding scoops that increase hull at the expense of maximum shields.
