Captain Bartholomew Roberts is an uber AI who roams warp-3 in his Dark Freighter, equipped with four multi-fired Dark Fists, five multi-fired Ethereal U beams and a powerful Exiled tractor that can all too easily reduce the opposition to a quivering blob of stasis. He is on his own team, "Robert's Convoy".

He is primarily killed for the blueprint and commodity needed to construct a Dark Freighter, and also for the occasional Calypso augmenter.
