Zaphragi

The Zaphragi is an aggressive race of marsupial humanoids. Thanks to their fast maturation rates and a strong sex drive, the Zaphragi multiply with astounding speed, producing over 50 times as many offspring as humans do. Eons ago, their unstoppable population explosion almost led to the entire race dying of starvation and disease, as their home planet could no longer support them. Led by a militaristic government, the Zaphragi turned their gaze to other worlds, laying waste to neighboring civilizations. Within only a few years, they had managed to conquer the entire Serengeti sector, destroying the dominant species on every captured planet. It was never enough planets, however, and the Zaphragi pushed forward, spreading into the known universe. Only with tremendous effort did the scholars of Lyceum and the Earthforce manage to sever the connection between our universe and theirs.

However, it appears that the gate to Serengeti is functional once again, and the the Zaphragi are preparing for the final attack! Their centuries old imprisonment only gave them enough time to amass the most powerful fleet ever known, the Zebra Armada. As Emperor Kilrathi and the elite group of Zaphragi leaders draw the invasion plans, the time is rapidly running out for allied Lyceum, Earthforce and Paxian forces to come up with a retaliation strategy. Will they succeed in stopping the Zaphragi, or perish, leaving behind only ruins of their past? It is up to the fellow Sonatians to tip the scales in their favor.
