Augmenters

Augmenters (Augs for short) are permanent attachments to <a _fcknotitle="true" href="Ships">Ships</a>, <a _fcknotitle="true" href="Bases">Bases</a> or <a _fcknotitle="true" href="Drones">Drones</a> that provide bonuses and/or penalties to various attributes. An augmenter can only be equipped on a <a href="Base">base</a> or <a _fcknotitle="true" href="Ship">Ship</a> of equal or higher tech level than the aug. The number of augs you can equip varies depending on the object. Bases can have 4 on basic kits and up to 6 on more expensive ones. Ships can have between 1 and 6 augs equipped, depending on the type of ship.
Augmenters can be be removed and destroyed with the appropriate tech lvl of <a _fcknotitle="true" href="Reboot module">Reboot module</a>, availabe in <a _fcknotitle="true" href="Lyceum">Lyceum</a>.
Augs, for the most part, are found by killing <a href="Artificial Intelligence">AI</a>. Some augs, like combined augs, are rewards for missions and others, like Poseidon the Earthshaker, are built from a <a href="Augmenter Blueprints">blueprint</a>. The rarer augmenters are named after Greek gods & goddesses, and usually offer a larger array of effects than just the common ones.
The effectiveness of augmenters can be improved with <a _fcknotitle="true" href="Augmenter Tweaking">Augmenter Tweaking</a>, <a _fcknotitle="true" href="Imperial Tweak">Imperial Tweak</a>, and <a _fcknotitle="true" href="Engineer Class">Engineer Class</a>.

They are the same tech as their given number, they all have the description "Make everything run a little smoother", and are dungeon drops.
Due to rounding in the SS engine, the stats displayed are not 100% accurate. The first ship mastery aug(0) has a stat of +3%, and each aug after that gains .25% in stats per tech level, rounding up at .5 each tech. Therefore, the first aug that says 7% does not actually have 7% stats, but rather 6.5%, continuing to display 7% until 7.5% is reached, at which point 8% is displayed.
