Fighter bays are items in your ship that allow you to launch "fighters" out of your ship. These fighters come in many shapes and sizes, but all act as little aggressive slaves with a set time limit. They return to you ship once their time is up, or their target is destroyed. There are blueprints for more advanced versions of the fighter bays that allow you to launch the fighters at a faster rate. These blueprints require the launching tube commodities to complete.
