The Star Sonata forums (link) is the place for players to gather to discuss things relating to in game news, bugs, new features or nothing in particular. The forum is separated in a number of different sections, each one dealing with a different topic.

Forum rules
The forum has it’s own rules but the level of enforcement is left up to the individual forum moderators. The most commonly deleted post is spam. Using “bad” words is against the rules but is rarely removed if used in moderation. Off topic posting (posting a suggestion in the “Help” forum, for example) is usually moved to the correct area but is sometimes deleted.
Forum Etiquette
Although not rules in the strictest sense of the word, the unwritten rules of etiquette can often have nearly as much force. This kind of thing stays unwritten because the rules can vary drastically from person to person. However, here are simple guidelines.
- Stay on topic.
- Use lower-case or mixed case.
- Take a little effort to make your posts legible.
- Only post something once.
- Make sure the topic of a new thread has something to do with the content
There are always exceptions and individuals will have there own pet peeve. (Your author here really hates 1 word posts, for example.)
Avatars and Signatures
An avatar is an image that represents you on the forum. Avatars appear under your name in each post you make. Avatars are limited to 50px by 50px.
Signatures (abbreviated “sig”) are a small blurb or image that appears at the end of your post. Many people place contact info, a personal motto, or some kind of bragging in there signatures. However, the coolest people place a link to http://www.LyceumArchives.com in their sig. ;) Signatures are limited to 255 characters and may contain a small image.
Singularity Point
For a short time the administrators experimented with a section called the “Singularity Point.” The concept was to allow those who wished to flame or rant to have an area to do it. The goal was to reduce such posts in other areas of the forum. However, the administrators quickly ended the experiment when tempers flared and the original purpose of the forum was never realized. Most of the posts were simple spam.
