While Absolution remains the official religious centre of the Galaxy, Cardinal Bellarmine felt that he needed a slightly better guarded place, where he could scheme and plot undisturbed by noisy captains. Penance became his galaxy of choice, probably because of its many dark suns that help to conceal his elite Seraph fleet. His very own "Death Star" (which he calls "Bellarmine's Cathedral" for legal reasons), looms in the shadows just ahead, prepared to shower the intruder with long ranged excommunicator strikes, and Ethereal Laser III+, reserved for hidden opponents.

The gate to Judgement is located at the foundation of Bellarmine's Cathedral, and requires a Gabriel's Neurolich to enter.

Tips

  • As you enter the system, go to the south, or east of the entrance, to avoid excommunicator hits.
  • Unless you are a seer, or have a very good radar equipped, you will most likely not see the Seraphs until they fire. Although quite weak, they can be damaging in large numbers, and have to be killed quickly because of their fast respawn rate.
  • Do not approach Bellarmine's Cathedral directly! Instead, use the system's features (suns and *cough* gates *cough*) to your advantage.
  • Heat weapons do quite well against both the Cathedral and the Seraphs

Drops

Bellarmine's Cathedral: Bellarmine's Mini Cathedral blueprint, Ethereal Laser III+ (semi-rare), Ablution Crystals, Solar Cleansings, Excommunicator (very, very, very rare), Heavenly Laser
