Nanotech Plating is a skill that purely increases your longevity. Reduces item damage by 50% at level 25 (also affects all bots, stacking with the above, 25% damage taken for for level 25). Increases the repair cost by 100% at level 25 (so training the skill is cost neutral for repairs). Nanotech Plating now applies to sources of item damage that aren’t stasis or towing (e.g., overloaders failing).Bots can be repaired without penalty while undocked as long as you are docked (in this instance, they also don’t need to be stationary).

Bots take 50% less item damage across the board with or without Nanotech Plating.

History

Nanotech Plating was originally called Crazy Glue, it was to give you a 2% better chance of your gear glue not being used up when you died. However when client 2 was released the gear glue system was removed and replaced by repairs. All the players who had Crazy Glue skill simply had the skill change in name to Nanotech Plating. Because of this there are no players who still have Crazy Glue skill.
