Delicate membrane allows intergalactic travel through locked gates. |
Neural Keysyncs are special items used to unlock a sealed wormhole, particularly in many DG galaxies. These 'keys' are usually dropped by the local AI, which are usually hostile. A locked DG gate will require half of the keysyncs dropped by all of the ai to allow access. "Neural Keysyncs" are fragile and can not survive a jump into another galaxy through a wormhole. So, either backing out of a galaxy or advancing throught the locked warp will use the keys and remove them from your inventory.
Keysyncs will usually, if not always, unlock a gate to an even more dangerous galaxy; thus, practice caution before using.
All normal DG galaxies take "Neural Keysyncs", and others can require other random commodities that pertain to the specific galaxy, such as "Gabriel's Neurolich" for Penance. Some keysyncs may have half-lives.
Neural keysyncs can also be mined for profit and use in Liberty.
