Fuel is, by definition, something used to generate power; in this case, your fuel is consumed by your energy source in order for it to function. Some energies take Nuclear Waste, some take Prometheum. Others take Enriched Nuclear Waste, a product of the previous two. Yet others consume boababs- and you thought coal was archaic!! The Energies that take fuel are often times the best energies for their tech level but, often times, newer players pass them over because of their fuel requirement. In fact, until just recently, I was hesitant to use the Fire of the Gods because of its promethium habits. However, I studied its usage and realized that the situation is not so dire. Here is the summary of my study:

Question?

Are fueled energies, like the Fire of the Gods- which takes a decaying fuel, viable for serious use?

Hypothesis

I do not think that the fuel for a FotG will last long enough for me to accomplish anything serious.

Materials

  • 111 Promethium
  • One Bot equipped with a Fire of the Gods

Procedure

  • Filled the bot with Promethium
  • Went hunting
  • Checked Promethium levels in the bot during lulls in the fighting.

Conclusions

Ultimately, I discovered, to my delight, that 100 Promethium will fuel a Fire of the Gods for over an hour. I was delighted because 100 Promethium is not difficult to obtain and an hour is enough time to be able to accomplish something. Furthermore, if you hunt up north, then you can stop off at The End of the Universe to top off your supplies; if you're hunting south, some galaxies have asteroid belts whose asteroids may contain Fermium and mining it sure as Hell beats plodding back to your base to get some more prom.
