Deflector, showing Fluxial Pull

Deflector is a galaxy with a field of deflector drones guarding access to an AI base and a mysterious Light Nuzzle (a 200 size, tech 4 drone captured for training Warp Navigation to 3).

The Neuro-Doc stationed here is capable of resetting secondary skills at a cost of 1mil per character level (up to 500mil max). The AI station in the Lyceum provides the same service for the same cost.

The deflector drones fire a weapon with a grem effect that prevents turning, forces thrust and prevents warping. Here are some strategies for navigating past them:

  • Unequip your engine and pull your ship in with a tractor
  • Make a 3 Docking aug Zebucart, aim it at the base and dock at full speed
  • Use a slow ship and suicide over the base. When you re-enter your ship, dock before the drones shoot.
  • Much like the above method you use an envelopment to fly over the deflector drones (Any ship that fits fully under an envelopment bubble)and suicide over the base and when you re-enter your ship quickly dock at the space station. (This method is especially effective for Star Sonata 2)
  • Use any tweak that reduces your maximum speed, aim your ship at the base and activate the tweak shortly before reaching the base. e.g. Sub Space Anchor, Double Sub Space Anchor, or Sitting Duck

Note: Pods can't dock here.

Unique Gear

  • Orca Blueprint, t16, 7,500,000.
