First of all....DO NOT START AS A SPEED DEMON! I personally think, after stupidifully starting as a Speed Demon knowing nothing, the best ship is a [[Hotrod+]] or a [[Enforcer]]. The enforcer has decent hull and speed. The hotrod+................. need basic capacity augmenter(at least one). Later, get a [[Earthforce Frigate]] in around lvl 150(note: need engine tech lvl 10). Then after using it to hunt Space Blue Betas for like at least 80 lvls, ask anyone to take you to [[Rumble 2]], i think. Get at least piolting tech lvl 14 and use a [[Spearhead]]. After lvling with the spearhead to lvl 300, ask someone to take you to [[Rumble 3]]. Get at least 17 and use a [[Porpoise]](decent speed and hull). Well, thats about how far I got at the moment. After that, the cheapest and the best ship is a [[Reaver]]. It is tech 20 which you can get at [[Rumble Mumble]]. It will costfrom 2-3billion creds. The [[Reaver]]'s weapon, the [[Reaver Laser]], takes 1125 energy...Make sure that u are using a energy with good regen.

Start out with a Hotrod+. This is an expensive ship for the level 20er, but it is the absolute BEST ship in the market at that point. Aug it with 2 barbe bleu's mods augs, 1 artemis aug, one basic capacity aug, and one other aug, which is your choice. Then, use a magcannon 2 to kill enemies at long range. A good opponent at this point is space blue betas, which will give you huge XP, and be fairly easy to kill, as long as you can find a galaxy where they cannot easily warp away from you. This strategy will work well until near level 150, at which point the XP recieved will have been dropping off for a while.

At this point, go out and get yourself Remote Control 7. Shouldn't be too difficult. Then, get a radiation weapon, a Prismatic Conversion, and cap yourself a [[Hotrod Mega]]. This ship is much like the Hotrod+, but it is 2 tech levels higher, so if you blow the augs, it gives you much more power potential. Aug it well(Use your imagination!), and kill Space Blue Gammas. Remember that they have fighters, remember to kill them first, they dont have any more, then kill the Gamma. Killing gammas should give you XP all the way up to level 500 or so, when you can get yourself a tech 16 ship. A [[Wingship V]] would be good for starters, available in Ruby Steppes for about 123 million. [[Faranji Stinger]] works as well if you can afford it. At this point, you should be killing Big Greens, forgones, and icepicks until you can get a tech 20 ship.
i suggest getting a proficient regen and decent sheild bank. DO NOT EVER USE A HESTIA OR HESTIA+! I wonder if this guide is going to be efficient for later Speed Demons...

Then, get a radiation weapon, a Prismatic Conversion, and cap yourself a Hotrod Mega. A Wingship V would be good for starters, available in Ruby Steppes for about 123 million. Faranji Stinger works as well if you can afford it. At this point, you should be killing Big Greens, forgones, and icepicks until you can get a tech 20 ship.

Good Luck.
