Below is an info dump of all the fancy tips & tricks I've accumulated throughout several years of spinning in Sol. Hopefully these will help you out somehow. Enjoy!

UI
Useful Chat Commands
See also: Ingame Command List
- /help - Shows you all the chat commands usable in-game.
- /mc [Item Name] - Does a 'market check' on the item, showing you its current prices on the marketplace. This will be your bread and butter for buying/selling anything.
- /ap [Galaxy Name] - Autopilots you to [Galaxy Name]. Put double quotation marks before and after [Galaxy Name] if the name has a ' in it.
(Example: /ap "Iq' Bana") - /avoid [Galaxy Name] - Removes the galaxy from any future autopilot routes. Can be undone by typing in the command again.
- /avoid [Team Name] - Removes all galaxies owned by [Team Name] from your autopilot routes. Can also be undone.
- /showdamage - Shows the amount of damage your weapons are dealing.
- /showbotdamage, /showdronedamage, /showbasedamage - Shows the amount of damage your assets are dealing.
- /showsquaddamage - Shows how much damage each person in your squad is dealing.
- /showpain - Shows how much damage you're receiving.
- /age - Displays how much time you've wasted on this game. Might cause an existential crisis under certain circumstances.
- /f - Did your UI bug out? Having some connection problems? Try typing this in. Refreshes the client without exiting it.
Fancy Controls
- Hold down [Shift] + [Alt] to drag the camera around. Re-center the camera by double clicking with the keys held down.
- [Shift] + [S] key to auto-brake. Moving your ship will toggle it off.
- [Shift] + [Spacebar] to auto-fire. Pressing spacebar again will toggle it off.
- You can cycle through targets in reverse by pressing [Shift] + [Q, Z, Tab, Ctrl or whatever]. Extremely useful when going through shops.
Efficient Inventory Management
- Hold down [Shift] to select multiple rows of items in one go.
- Hold down [Ctrl] to select multiple items separately.
- Combine [Shift] + [Ctrl] to select multiple rows of items separately. Maximum efficiency.
- You can pin items to your ship by right clicking on them and selecting 'Pin Item'. This will prevent them from being tossed or transferred. Use in combination with the [Shift] and [Ctrl] keys for absolute satisfaction.
- You can search for modded items by simply typing the mod name into the search bar.
- You can also search for items with certain tags on them, such as [Lyceum Diploma Blueprint].
Equipment
Transwarp Devices
- Basically the fast travel feature of Star Sonata. You can jump to Warp Beacons with these. Purchasable via mission in Beta Antares.
- Fleet Commanders can warp their squad by using squadron transwarp devices. You can find them at the Fleet Shipyards base in Lyceum.
- Can be substituted by committing Suicide and towing if it's not at full charge yet.
