The Maggot is a miniature uber AI found in Fly Times and only spawns when the mission KILL THE MAGGOT!!! is active. It can also drop the rare and useful low-leveled The Maggot Augmenter.
Players who must kill this creature should use a reasonably fast ship, equipped with a MagCannon for ranging. Without good shielding, it can prove to be a severe nuisance.
