Cadet Training Missions

Training alongside your fellow cadets!

Mission 1: Drone Training

Mission Agent: Devan Pyrre
Found in: Cadet Academy, Cadet Academy
Minimul Level: 2

This is the first of a series of piloting and combat training missions! Make sure you learn something from them since the expirence you take away from this area will aid you greatly in other battles in the Nexus. Anyway, Devan Pyrre is an Earthforce Training officer, and one with a very great ego at that! He will instantly call your piloting abilities into question, so it's up to you to prove him wrong! After you accept the mission, head up to the Earthforce Training area. When you get close enough, the targets will automaticall spawn, and it's up to you to take 'em out! The Alpha dummies are rather easy, and any pilot should have very little trouble dispatching them. Just watch out for their light lasers. After you've killed 3, head back to Devan and pick up your reward.

Mission 2: Drone Training II

Mission Agent: Devan Pyrre
Found in: Cadet Academy, Cadet Academy
Minimul Level: 3

Being the second mission in this series of combat training, you can expect that this one is a bit harder. This time you'll be facing drones that have slightly better shields and a pulse gun as well as the light lasers! This is a perfect mission if you want to practice dodging bullets, and it's a rather useful skill to learn for the lower levels. The eaisest way to pull this off is use a high tracking weapon (magcannon or retreator) and a fairly high speed ship (65-70), and then constantly circle the target while firing. It may take a while to get used to, but eventually you'll be pulling this manuver off like a pro, and it comes in quite handy with all forms of MagCannon or Retreator Combat. Head north to make the drones spawn, and after you have dispatched 3 of the Beta Dummies, head back and put Devan in his place again!

Mission 3: Drone Training III

Mission Agent: Devan Pyrre
Found in: Cadet Academy, Cadet Academy
Minimul Level: 4

Back again for another training mission! As usual, Devan is extremely cocky, and as usual, expects you to fail. The Gamma Dummies are a step above the Beta, and you can expect to put your dodging to good use here. These drones have better shields, a light laser, a pulse gun AND a MagCannon! I would recommend dodging for this mission, just so you get more practice, but you can 'brute force' it if your shields and weapons are good enough (if you try it this way, you'll probably need tweaks and diffusers). Regardless, head up to the training area to make the drones spawn, and take out three of them. After you've done that, head back to Devan and get your reward.

20000 Credits

Fighting Advanced Omega Dummies!

Mission 4: Drone Training IV

Mission Agent: Devan Pyrre
Found in: Cadet Academy, Cadet Academy
Minimul Level: 5

This is the final training mission, and this will be the hardest of all of them. Even if you've mastered the dodging technique with the other missions, I would advise bringing tweaks (Shield, Energy, Afterburners), and both Laser and Energy diffusers. Also, make sure you have a fairly fast ship, so dodging is much eaiser. After you're geared up, head to the Training area and get ready for a pretty tough fight! The Advanced Omega Dummies have much better radar and a much better array of weapons (MagCannon, Light Laser and Cadet Catapult). Beware of the Catapult! If it hits you it will add weight to your ship, and make any form of dodging much harder. That's why I suggest staying at a farther range, and dodging the MagCannon shots. After you take out 3 of the Advanced Drones, head back and put Devan in his place!

This is the first mission in a series against the Volcom Pirates terrorizing the Nexus.
