The Maggot is a miniature [[uber AI]] found in [[Fly Times]] and only spawns when the mission [[Nexus Cadet Missions#KILL THE MAGGOT!!!|KILL THE MAGGOT!!!]] is active. It can also drop the rare and useful low-leveled [[Augmenters#Uncommon_Augmenters_(Tech_0-9)|The Maggot Augmenter]].

Players who must kill this creature should use a reasonably fast ship, equipped with a [[MagCannon]] for ranging. Without good shielding, it can prove to be a severe nuisance.
