Currently the maximum amount of time a galaxy assault can last is 12 hours. After 12 hours the kits of the assaulting team abandon/destroy themselves, meaning the defending team automatically wins. Lately I've been in multiple 8 - 12 hour galaxy assaults in both the attacking and defending role and I began to wonder why they have to take this long. The time is largely spent on manouvering stations into the desired positions which doesn't actually add anything gameplay wise. To cut back on this "waste" of everybody's time my suggestion is to increase the current maximum speed an unattached userbase can travel by 2 - 3 times (15 up from 6, for example) and decrease the amount of time a galaxy assault can take to, for example, 6 hours maximum.

Great idea. 12 hours is too long of a time commitment for most people.
