The Maggot is a miniature uber AI found in Fly Times, who pilots a Flyswatter Maggot. It is killed for a mission from the Janitor's Outpost in the Nexus. The Maggot re-spawns every 5 minutes next to the asteroid sun, and drops the rare and useful low-leveled The Maggot Augmenter.

Players who must kill The Maggot should use a reasonably fast ship, equipped with a MagCannon for ranging. Without good shielding, it can prove to be a severe nuisance.

Spawns with 6,400 credits.
