CIS (Confederacy of Independent Systems) is a unique team founded by player It2. It2 was also the founder and director of the team United Trade Federation (U.T.F.) which was, at its height, a masterpiece of mainly f2p perseverance. CIS is sort of loosely based on the UTF, but claims to be much more democratic and fair than most teams. Quote from their old Star Sonata Team Registry page:
"The CIS is one of the most unique teams online, instead of the team running like a capitalist system or a dictatorship we run like a republic. This means our team is very well structured and flexible."

The CIS was officially declared dead by It2 and has been disbanded. JohnLuke2 the former councillor has created a rebirth after 3-4 years of inactivity!
