Hostility is a measurement of the amount of aggravation a player generates in actions of combat with an AI, or support of combatants, through damage output. Therefore, one may cause an AI to act as if a player is dealing more or less damage based on the hostility bonus and result in a difference in AI target selection accordingly. Due to how this works, hostility modifications are only useful in player combat against AI when the enemy AI have multiple targets against them.

Hostility modifications are most common to Berserkers for positive bonuses and Shield Monkeys for negative bonuses.

Two skills available in Bipolar affect the amount of hostility generated by players. Despicable increases the amount of hostility generated, whereas Subtlety decreases the amount of hostility generated.

more detailed mechanics explanation, from discord: [1] Your asset does 30k hostility. It gets 30k hate (modified by the asset's hostility bonuses) personal hate from the victim. You (your persona) gets 15k hate passed up from the asset team hate from the victim (that is, the victim's team hates you) is not modified by any hostility bonuses. Your asset takes the other half of the generated hate (so 15k) and is also not affected by hostility bonuses.
