Fighters

Fighters, upon being launched, will attack whatever target the entity that launched them was targeting. Some fighters can find new targets if they lose track of their current one or if their target is destroyed.

To use a fighter, you require a Fighter Bay that is equal in tech or higher than the fighter you wish to use. To use a fighter, select a target and double click or right click and hit use to launch the fighter, or drag it onto your hotbar.

Launch means the amount of energy required to launch the fighter.
