Transwarp Devices
Transwarp devices are devices that warp players and their slaves to a galaxy which has a Warp Beacon, how far the transwarp device will take you depends on which device you have. These devices require about 75% shields before initiating and must be a certain distance away from nearby celestial objects (asteroids, planets/moons and suns). The jump will take away half of your shields so be careful where you warp to!

Advantages of the PWI
+
They are all size 5 and weight 5000.

It allows you to maneuver easily in DGs, selecting appropriate AIs and singling them out for destruction.  The PWI also allow for rapid escape from AIs when shields get low.  It is also incredibly useful in PvP, as it allows for a quick ambush and retreat.

Many balk at the cost (25 bil) and difficulty of completing the mission chain.  Recently, Afterburners have rendered the PWI nearly obsolete for merely increasing speed in a straight line.  The PWI also competes with "baby PWIs" such as the Gallows Robber (from Piracy missions), Warpping Paper (Christmas drop) and Witch's Broomstick (Halloween drop).

Warp Devices.jpg

Warp Devices instantly warp you, up to their maximum distance, to a different location. Most warp you in the direction you are facing. The Seer Rift Generator will warp you to the back of your target, while the Singularity Brake will warp you near to your selected target. If a warp device fails, it will warp you in a random direction instead of your desired direction. The base electricity is a flat cost per jump, while the jump electricity is how much electricity is required per distance jumped.
