An Abandoned Base is created when a player decides to leave the base or make another base. A Destroyed Base may also become an abandoned base over time, depending on the tech level of the base. If the base lacks rations, or possibly workers, a player can take over the base by having workers/rations in their ship. In order to take over an abandoned base in an owned galaxy, the player must be on the owning team.
A destroyed and abandoned base is much the same as a Destroyed Base, expect there is no owner. A player can dock and take over it, repair it with a Repair Kit, or just salvage the items, if any from it.
