Re: Where are we (the devs) dropping the ball?
Class specific quests and items... It seems to me engineer are getting everything right now and most other classes feel neglected.
If an Engineer can do some missions to get a set of kickass drones, a tractor and a healing weapon then I expect 3 items for every other class as well. Give Gunners a weapon that is better than the current capital lasers, a missile factory for better missiles and some other peice of shiny gear.
Dont only do two of the class mission chains then say "thats enough for now". No other MMORPG on the internet could get away with doing that. WoW would riot if one class got so much more than any other.

Re: Where are we (the devs) dropping the ball?
I would like to the the account base slot restriction lifted seeing as there is so much more room with the huge universe. Basils are a tad over powered. Nate's repawn time really needs to be lowered. I like the fact that he is in a DG but it is either by extreme luck or by means of one person who knows when the spawn time is and uses several characters to camp him are the only two people that can do him. Thanks, 78Firebird

Re: Where are we (the devs) dropping the ball?
I only really have a few issues:
-Basils ('nuff said)
-Base slot limit should be removed or the number of free slots increased per char.
-The agreed hard cap on the number of combat slaves needs to be implimented, NOT the tech limit on what items slaves can used. Whether it was a temp. solution to the problem or a screw-up in what was added to the patch and what was left out, we were told to expect one thing and got something completely different. This does not make for good dev/player relations, and it should be fixed soon.
The last of the three causes me to agree most with what Jester said. Most of us are glad that you are trying to improve PR by telling us what's going on behind the scenes, but you should really work on coordinating communication between yourselves more than communication with us.

why is everyone complaining about basils anyway. theyre easy enough. you just have to have a really really really good pest control and try to dodge for heaven sakes.

Re: Where are we (the devs) dropping the ball?
central w3 would be unbelievably easy for lvl 200-500 players to cruise around if you made basils easier. I like them as they are as it adds an element of danger and gives u that ouch factor, that certain areas of w3 you cant go alone at that level. Sometimes it makes me jump when im playing on my lvl 400 SD alt and a basil laser shoots from miles away your like where the hell did that come from..you run to the gate to get away and the beam follows you for ages, gives you that yiiiikkkeeesss feeling as u flee to get out of its range.
The thing that really annoys me and this is prolly a wiki thing, is that there are just so many unknown formulas, e.g. i wanted to know how many perma drones i can lay, best I can get on help is "we dont know, nobody knows" wtf!, i needed to know how many fighters my slaves can launch...its not documented. I really hope we dont goto c2 and the wiki be 2 unis out of date as it mostly is now or blank.

Re: Where are we (the devs) dropping the ball?
then maybe central w3 is not a place for a low level droner on his own, I dont know what level you are but i think central w3 is no place for anyone under lvl 300. It makes it so you need to get a few of you to survive, more teamwork and more of a challenge.

Re: Where are we (the devs) dropping the ball?
I dont think an element of danger should be an AI lower level than 500 that can kill, yet alone dent a player over level 1k

More like dropping a bowling ball on a car's hood.

Re: Where are we (the devs) dropping the ball?
I have had no issues with basils, or dgs full of MF basils for that matter. Not every class can kill every ai, its the way its going to work. The bacteria isn't even that annoying if anything it is the range.
For the devs, If you tell us about something I would say have every intent of rushing it out (not c2 obviously), but having a whole thing about stuff like the flicker and wattage then nothing kinda annoying. I like updates, just not updates about stuff that isn't going in game.
I also think every uber needs to be re evaluated now that things are 'balanced' to see what kind of access players need, how often it is killed, and how enjoyable/annoying it is.
